Search For a New Planet

It has been 2000 Earth years making it 4017. Me and my co pilot Lyra Silvertongue have searched all over the Galaxy for a new planet because….. Earth is dying, and we are the earth’s only hope a girl who can read the truth and a girl who is smart.

“Lyra” I said “Can you ask the Alethiometer whether the air on that Planet is Good for us.” “No Bethan” Replied Lyra “But that one over there Is good.” We landed On the Planet. “Lyra Can you please ask the Alethiometer if the inhabitants of this planet are nice” she checked “It depends” she said “what Inhabitants are you talking about” and then a creature with a Human like structure purple skin blue Hair a tail and fangs came out of nowhere “Run!” She said “Run. My people are not friendly to outsiders and they can sense when you are here Run”

We ran and we ran and we ran and we saw them they were vicious and scary, It made us run faster. Once we we're sure we had gotten away from them we sat down to rest and i realised the liquid we were sitting in was water. “Lyra” I said “Can you tell me whether this water is good to drink.” she replied with a nod. I took handfuls and she read the Alethiometer and she took the fruit from the tree above and ate the inside of it i did the same. Then we started to take action we started to find timber and started to build a house in the morning they would make piece.

I woke up the next day to find the same alien who told us to run look right on top of me. I screamed and woke Lyra up who also screamed and her daemon Pantalaimon also started to scream. “Don’t worry i am a friend” she said “my name Is Suna. I am here to help and i can negotiate with my tribe I even made a peace treaty for you and i bet when i say my speech in their language then they will accept.”

We went to the tribe and i held the Peace treaty and they smiled and signed the treaty. Suna was surprised then the chief said “all we want is the peace of new people but they try kill us” his English was limited so Lyra and I sank to our knees. "So this is why they aren't friendly the other people that came here weren't friendly" Said Suna "well i am Happy we made a peace treaty." Not soon after we contacted NASA more people came and we made cities out of the trees and things like that the humans were determined to keep this planet better then earth we named it Figilisilis (Fi-ga-lis-a-lis).

Whale rider is a movie about a young girl named Paikea who is trying to prove to her grandfather that she will be a better chief than any boy could ever be. While she does that she fights a boy with a taiaha and swims to the rocks and retrieves her grandfathers whale bone necklace. I rate it 4 out of 5

The whales that were stranded on that beach were very unlucky and the eight whales that stranded after the first bunch were very lucky.

This is what they did to keep the whales alive 

They put towels, blankets any type of fabric on the whale but they make sure it doesn't cover the blow hole.

Then they get any type of container and then fill it up with water and keep on pouring it onto the the whale.

I agree that the possums should be killed because they are killing the world and making New Zealand not pretty, the opposite of what we want. But i also want the possums not to die because they are little critters so my idea is to get as many possums as we can and then ship them off to Australia because the possums are a protected and endangered species of Australia. so i think that it would be a very clever idea but just to get rid of them and keep them alive at the same time.

Task Description: For this task I made a google draw. I decided to add PNGs of a silver fern and Kiwis. My idea for a flag was to keep the original flags colours but give it my own originality I think that i have chosen a really good flag. These are some interesting facts about New Zealand and its People. 

Fact 1: Today out of the 4.4 million New Zealanders 69% of Maoris are from Europe, 14.6% are Indigenous,  9.2% are Asian, and 6.9% are non Maori Pacific islanders

Fact 2: As well as bungy jumping, frozen meat and The Hamilton jet boat New Zealanders have made the tranquilliser gun, seismic 'base' isolators, electric fences, the fastest motorbike in the world, freezer vacuum pump, wide toothed combs and the electric petrol pump

Fact 3:Its reputed that 15% of NZ Families own their own boat.

Task Description: For this task i made a copy of the blank presentation and then put it in my reading folder. it was a part of my reading learning to summarise and reflect what we have been learning about as you can see it has the order of what it probably went in.

When I had finished the presentation i made a screen cast using screencastify. screencastify is the app that we can use on our Chromebooks. The app looks like a film strip and it is in the top of your screen, once you have made a screen cast you get it in a folder of your drive called Screencastify . Once i had downloaded it onto my drive i then posted it onto my blog with a Title, a Walt, a Task Description and Labels.
