What an awesome post of the WLJ blog. It is great to hear that you have been blogging in the holidays & still is. Is this the day or activity the one where you have to rhyme, If it is you are a great rhymer. Is this your first time blogging in the holidays? Same as me. Your post was amazing.
I would like to know? What would you do if you were in a Waka & it took you a few hours to travel, Hope you are having a great time in the holidays. Enjoy your last 3 days of the holidays. Keep up the great work & keep blogging
I completely agree with Olivia and with Hinerangi. This is a great poem! I love the way that you managed to find words that rhyme and words that really capture the way that you would be feeling when you first arrived in a brand new country. It really would be pretty exciting, wouldn't it? I know that it would also be really scary. I would have found it a bit overwhelming to arrive in NZ and know that I had to build my own home from the ground up and source my own food.
What do you think the first settlers ate for their meals? I would imagine that they ate a lot of fresh fish and vegetables that they could grow in their own gardens. What do you think?
I hope that you'll have the chance to finish the Winter Learning Journey. You're so close to the end! You just have 5 activities to go. You can do it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem. I think those that arrived in Shag Point would have felt the same way as you have written.
Well Done Bethan.
Cheers, Olivia.
