If i was separated from a group i would be very scared and panic most likely i am one of those people who get really scared when they are separated from a group. But i do have some good steps to find them.
If you can't venture out on your own stay where you are
If you can go to the vehicle that took you to where you are or a meeting point you and your group have told each other that if you get lost to go there.

I can still remember being a little girl and having my dad tell me that I was to stay put if we ever became separated and wait for him to find me. Fortunately, I never had to use that advice because I never got lost. Phew!
