Pes Olympics

Do you like sports? Well today we had the Pes Olympics. What is the Pes Olympics you ask. I will tell you. You know how we have the Olympics and it's a bit like that and way more fun. We don't have the swimming and the shot put or any of the Olympic sports. We have the Scatter ball, Soccer, Rob the nest, Tug o war, and lots of other fun activities.

So we got put into 7 countries Fiji, Brazil, Jamaica, Japan, Ireland,Canada, and South Africa. My team was Ireland A yr 5 - 8. There was A and B in each team and there was 2 junior teams ( yr 1 - 4 ) and 2 senior teams ( yr 5 - 8 ). My teacher who was running my country was Miss Berry. Our first game was football and we were against Ireland B yr 5 - 8 and we lost. Next we had Volleyball and won after that we went to scatter ball which was a bit like cricket or baseball except no bat. We won against jamaica.

After that we went to have morning tea. I had yogurt and then play under the Berry bushes for a while and then we got back to the olympics our next game was Tug o war against Japan. We won and then got to do handball which is a mix of netball basketball and soccer. We lost against Fiji. After that we had some Dodgeball and we lost to Brazil. We then had a ski race and I cannot remember the team we were against but we lost.

After that we had lunch and then went back to the hard court. We did the Olympic rings by putting plates over our heads and then we did the score and who won stuff. I think the Olympics for Pes was awesome.

What we did Today

Today we went to the Calderglen Country Park. It was really fun we went there with my dad’s mate Uncle Lenny (we call him that). First we looked at the animals in the zoo and then we went to the playground. We went for a walk and then had some lunch and after lunch we had ICE CREAM! We went for another play in the playground and then went home again.

Have you ever studied comics at school before? For this term team 4 are studying comics, the other teams are studying other things (you’ll find out in the second paragraph). The school has their own exciting and exquisite topics as usual.

The school theme for this term is as i see it, which is all about art. Team 1’s topic was about there Favourite things and that they were going to draw them. Team 2 was about the seasons and how they can use the colours and designs the seasons have. Team 3 was all about Architecture and what designs of houses they think is pretty, weird, or even ugly, team 5 are doing waka races and i am not sure what they are doing.

Team 4 are doing sequential art which means writing with art. We are doing comic books and our topic is called KA POW, this is one of the coolest topics I've ever done. If you still do not know what sequential art is I will give you an example. You know how Caveman Drawn on there walls, well that’s sequential art.

What I want to get out of this term topic is that I can draw with more detail than how I can draw now. I want to learn about other comics other people made and how they were invented. I also want to know who the first person who made comic books. I am interested in what the first comic was about.

I think the theme for this term is awesome and I will get a lot of art finished and I will learn different art and detail. For the term I want to see if I can finish my extension project. I am really looking forward to this term.

Fia Fia Recount

Walt: Link my ideas and organise them into paragraphs 

Have you been to Fia Fia before? At Pt England school we have our very own Fia Fia. This is my second time having to do Fia Fia and I really enjoy it.  Read on to find out more about Fia Fia

Fia Fia is something that our school does every two years. We always do it in Term 1 on the second to last week or near the start, this year it was on Thursday the 7th of April. We get a big stage on the field under a marque and a lot of food stalls. You may think it was just our class but really it was the entire school. We practised for a long time.

My group was Bollywood. Bollywood is a mixture of Indian and modern dancing. It was one of the most fun dances I have ever been in. We practised for about 6 weeks.The song we were dancing to was,IndiaWalle it was from a movie called Happy New Year.

My favourite performance was the Fijian. The song was cool and they did awesome dancing. The boys had spears and the girls had nothing. My second favourite was the junior jump jam Because they were all in time and my brother was in it and my 3rd favourite was the middle Hip Hop because they all looked like they were having a good time and they had good timing.

I think that Fia Fia was really fun I hope next Fia Fia is way more awesome but it will be tough to beet.

Task Description: For this task we first had Fia Fia and it was awesome. We were not planning to do it but to girls from our class asked Mr Burt if we could do it and he said yes. Mr Goodwin was happy to make a link on the class site for us to write it and so we started writing.

My Camp.

During week 8 all of team 4 except for the year 4's  went to camp. Have you ever slept in tent city before? This year I was a year 5 which means next year I can probably go again and I might be a leader. This year was the 26 camp we have had. My room mate was Makayla

We were camping on the fields. When i say we it is all of the year 5&6's, including some of the teachers. What it we were doing is camp, if you're not quite sure what it was i’ll explain in detail year five and six camp is when we take a few days of learning at school and instead have a camp at school.The reason why we do it is because one day when Mr Burt was not the principle a man said our field is good to have a camp and then suddenly there was a year five and six camp, and it happens every year in term one.

My favourite activity was kayaking. Because I like it when i am near when i am near the water. Kayaking is a bit like a canoe except the boat is a bit smaller and it is like there is connected ores. When i was kayaking i was with my team the kind legends i was waiting for a turn in a single, wile i was waiting i was helping a few other During week 8 all of team 4 except for the year 4s went to camp.
