  1. Hi Bethan!

It's great to see you blogging so much already this year. I love animals and am thrilled to see that you have created a post about a number of native birds from here in New Zealand. The Sacred Kingfisher is one of my favourites. Do you have a favourite New Zealand bird? Aronui likes Tuis the best!

    Keep up the great blogging,

    Rachel :)

    4. Hi Bethan,

Great question! Yes, we do have native animals and some native birds in Canada. The most commonly cited native birds would be the Canadian Goose, the loon, the Ruffed Grouse, Blue Jays, chickadees, woodpeckers, and wood pigeons. Common native animals are the polar bear, the black bear, the brown bear, deer, antelope, caribou, foxes, wolves, beavers and lynx.

There is a lot of information about each of these animals and bird species available online.

Thanks for asking about Canada! It was fun to think about the native birds and animals that I grew up with :)

      Cheers,
      Rachel
