  1. Kia ora Bethan,

What a great choice! I personally love Karekare beach and spend quite a bit of time out there every summer. The black sand is pretty amazing to look at although it can be really hot on your feet. You definitely have to pack your jandals if you plan to go for a swim at Karekare in the height of the summer!

Sadly I have never walked over to look at the waterfall in Karekare but I plan to do that this year. Apparently, it is really beautiful. I hope that you get the chance to see it one day very soon!

In the meantime, we will have to settle for swimming at our local pools and beaches. Where do you typically go swimming? I usually swim at my local pool in Mt Albert. It is a wave pool! Sometimes I bring Aronui with me and we swim together in the waves. It is really fun!

I hope that you are having lots of fun this holiday and enjoying the learning journey.

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

    1. Hi Bethan,

I've never been to Ngahau Bay. I will have to check it out the next time that Aronui and I are heading up north to visit our friends and family.

      Cheers,
      Racel
